My wife and I took shelter in The Ship during a cold and rainy November day exploration of the Holborn area. It turned out to be a great decision, the bar was crowded but we found a table upstairs in the impressive dining room. The atmosphere was classic and historical, the walls thick with London memorabilia and photos. The food was outstanding (for a pub) and the service was excellent. Although many other options are nearby, The Ship made a very welcome and satisfying sanctuary. We would happily go again next time we're in the area.

Came for a quick drink. Beautiful old pub located on a back street with lots of history. Great choice of drinks at standard London prices. Service was friendly and welcoming. Really relaxed chilled vibe to the place.

We had the absolute best Sunday roast dinner here for our last meal in London. We shared a Beef Wellington that was on par with the best I've ever had. The sta were super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere with the wood panelling was just perfect for a Sunday pub dinner. Couldn't have been better.
